Meet me at Bike Expo!
The big spring cycling show known as the Group Health Bike Expo will be held in Seattle this weekend. It’s at a new location – Cruise Terminal 30, south of Safeco Field on East Marginal Way. The event is Saturday 9-6 and Sunday 10-4. There are presentations, two shows of classic bikes, a photo contest and many booths to learn about club rides, events and gear.
I’ll be at the show selling and signing books at the R&E Cycles booth – come and check out my new Rodriguez bike and say hello! Also, enter my drawing for a framed print of my book photo of the celebrated Vashon Island Bike in a Tree!
New Ride Online: Centennial Trail
Want to get out in the country for an early-season warmup ride? One great choice is the Centennial Trail in Snohomish County. It’s low on trail traffic, but has a few road crossings. The flat north-south route goes from Snohomish almost to Arlington. Not a lot of services on the trail, but you’ll experience quiet, country scenery. The trail is used in the popular McClinchy Mile Ride, held Saturday March 15 by the B.I.K.E.S. Club of Snohomish County. Book Excerpt: Ride 42: Centennial Trail
